VANS X USUGROW Collection
Here it is - the long awaited Vans team up with Tokyo based artist, designer, and illustrator Usugrow, a brand new '09 collection consisting of a Sk8 Hi Pro, Half Cab Pro, and AV SK8 lo. The shoe has all the characteristics of Usugrow's world reknowned calligraphy, engraved into the midsole and printed in the insole, and also features his signature illustrative style and black on black aesthetics. A very nice, clean, collection from Vans, and one of a few great projects Vans are releasing into the NZ market this year. IMO, the premium leather, intricate detailing, tonal embroidery makes this one of the more stand-out shoes to hit our shelves this year. Note that the "Pro" means that they also feature a extra padding in the tongue, inner liner, and inner sole - similar to the syndicate models. The premium leather half cabs are definately my pick of the three.
All Vans X Usugrow footwear will also come packaged in a specially designed Usugrow x Vans box.
