QUARTERS presents: Nike Sportswear (NSW) Pinnacle Collection

We’re proud to introduce our first addition to the quarters boutique line-up since our opening in July 2008 – introducing Nike Sportswear (NSW) Pinnacle, Nike’s top level Tier 0 apparel collection.

Not to be confused with the normal “Nike Sportswear” overall re-branding of their regular Sports Culture program, the NSW Pinnacle collection is the highly exclusive apparel line designated to only at a handful of limited high-end Nike brand retailers or flagship stores across the globe – 21 Mercer (NSW New York), NSW Harajuku & NSW HongKong. You can tell the difference between the normal Nike Sportswear product & NSW Pinnacle – look for the black background hang tag.

Since NSW’s launch in 2008 it has received rave reviews from industry critics and pundits, as the pinnacle collection embodies a true collection that bridges technical features & functionality behind the garments, but also possesses the style that enables it to be matched alongside fashion items.

Thanks to Nike New Zealand and with the blessing of Nike JP quarters boutique has been selected and announced as the current sole Australasian outlet to retail select pieces from their exclusive NSW Pinnacle program. This has been a long come coming, so many thanks again guys as we know it's a big step.

Most of the pieces that we will be receiving over the next couple of months will be from the Japanese NSW Pinnacle line, manufactured for the Japan/AsiaPacific market, which is the collection that you will have no doubt seen previewed on HB, Slam, HS, and other blog/websites. Remember, don't get the NSW Pinnacle line confused with the regular Nike "Sportswear" branding, which encompasses almost all of their apparel in their previous "Sports Culture" line.

The first piece we have received in the collection is the Boston zip hood – a lightweight, French terry hooded parka that is well suited as a first layer under a heavy jacket, or, if you're in the southern hemisphere like the rest of us, a nice companion on a cool night. Typical of most NSW Pinnacle items, the Nike branding has been restricted to small accents, so the look is clean and classic.

Combined with the lightweight french terry fabric, true to the NSW ethos, there are also some functional aspects on the garment:

- Bonded, reverse coiled waterproof zippers (reminiscent of some of visvim's recent zippers & pockets)
- Sleeve pocket with headphone jack hole
- Frenched inner seams for comfort, to prevent unravelling & irritation
- Bonded hood peak construction, for the hood to retain its shape at all times for better protection against the elements
- Internal elastic draw cord to adjust hood opening
- Available in two colours - Dark Loden (Olive/Forest Green), Khaki (Sand).
