I'm sure most of you will have seen this set after it made headlines all across the world on various websites and magazines – the incredible Medicom x SillyThing “DAFT PUNK” 1000% Kubrick Set. A faithful tribute to the infamous french electronic duo, the set includes both members of Daft Punk dressed in their legendary robot masks and jumpsuits - true icons over the past decade of music. Standing at about 65cm tall, the last picture shows you a comparison in size between the standard 400% and 100% be@rbrick models, in case you had never seen a 1000% model in person before.
An 18 month project which began as a personal project by Silly Thing founder TK, only 100 pieces were manufactured for strictly limited release across the globe, with most stores selling out of their shipments on their respective release dates. The set is only available at Dover Street Market London, Colette Paris, Joyce HK, Silly Thing, Surrender SG, Contemporary Fix Tokyo, and here, at quarters boutique Auckland.
