I came across this on another blog the other day, and really liked the whole feel of the promo.
The film is called MINUIT, by french filmer Yoan Taillandier. The thing that sets this skate vid apart, is that it's filmed entirely at night. One would assume the whole thing was filmed after midnight, if you take the title into consideration.
Anyways, i think it's a cool idea and thought i'd share, I've always had a soft spot for night filming ever since Donny Barley exploded onto the screen for his short but oh so sweet part in Toy Machine's Welcome to Hell.
Also, here are a couple of new pics from me, the Ford Territory is for Top Gear NZ January Car of the year issue, and the portrait is from Metro's January issue. Thats a $36,000 John Galliano for Dior Diamond watch, goddamn!
It's been a very busy month! Anyways, the mag is out, and has been pretty well received. At least my friends tell me they think it's a good issue, so even if they're just saying it for my benefit, I'm still happy, hahaha.
Thought I'd share a few of my favourite pics that i had a lot of fun shooting...
Mohamad Farhad - Nollie BS Heelflip - Mt Smart
Mike Bancroft - Kickflip - Ponsonby
Sam Reynolds - FS 50 - Shortland St
Matt West - Wallie - Banks of the Thames - London
Russel Laird - BS Nosegrind BS 180 out - St Pauls Cathedral - London
Also, Gold Watch hit the internets on friday, so check it out!
Well, it's off to the printers, so time to show the cover or covers as is the case with this issue!
I had two dope photos, and when it came down to it, i couldn't decide between them, so here it is, New Zealand Skateboarder Annual 09, with two covers!
On Sale 3rd of December, so make sure you pick up a copy or two!
