It trips me out when I see young guys getting out there and doing shit for themselves. I was 23 and clueless when i started my photography business, and yet there are teenagers out there making a go of things!
Check out my mate Luke Browne, he's 17 from Havelock North, and he's already started his own Skateboard Company.
He shoots some pretty damn good pics too, so keep an eye out for his name in the Mags!

I flew over to Sydney a few weeks back for 10 days to have a break and shoot some skating. Had an awesome time, and managed to get about 5 days skating inbetween time spent at the Shakespeare Pub in Surrey Hills and sleeping atop a bunkbed.
Got to hang out with Bjorn Johnston, who very kindly drove me everywhere and also introduced me to some of the Sydney crew. Also went skating with Glenn Wignall and Bernie Foo, both big names from Wellington who took off for Sydney more than a few years back.
I've definitely sold myself on the idea of a permanent move now, and will be looking at jumping across in January for an extended stay, mostly shooting skating.
Check out this months issue of Top Gear NZ for a shoot i did down in Masterton a month or two ago with an awesome BMW550i Twin Turbo and the Jaguar XF. Both brand new cars which my assistant and i got to drive there and back in!
Also, Pebbles Hooper and i put together a quick editorial for the Ponsonby News, which is also out in this months issue. Pretty simple and clean

Worked on creating a series of characters for Air NZ a month or so ago, four of them in a similar style to nerdy guy here...

He and three others are up on billboards in Christchurch and Sydney at the moment, I'm pretty excited about the result. Had a great team to work with too!
A friend of a friend of a friend, found a perfectly skateable pool in one of the outlying suburbs of Auckland, went out there over a few days and shot some pics. Keep any eye out for another sweet pic in the new issue of MANUAL, hitting the shelves sometime next month...
Kristian Phillip, FS Grind.
Also went out to the 3rd and Final day of Rally Nz, the Whaanga Coast. We slotted ourselves in early (6am) and managed to see the stage run twice, without being hindered by over bearing marshalls.
Sebastien Ogier.
I've been a bit slack with updating this blog, it's been so busy its hard to divide my attention, but gonna try to keep it updated at least once a week...
Sweet!
