This photo makes my mouth water. I love Daikoku Ramen. This is yesterdays lunch. Combo A miso ramen with extra corn with gyoza. I could eat it for the rest of my life and I intend to. I started going to Daikoku Ramen (down by the train station in Britomart), back when the train station was a post office. When I was a whippersnapper we used to spend hours at night skating down Symonds Street from the top hitting spots on the way down. Then we would walk or catch a bus back up and bomb it again. If someone had their mum's car they might follow us down and give us a lift back up taking turns to be the taxi driver. Sometimes we would eat Ramen here afterwards. This is over 15 years ago - that place has been around a while and never changed. Best ramen in town.

These days I tend to head down at lunchtime by myself and catch up with a few 'wordy' blogs and news sites on my crackberry. Times have changed but that food factory hasn't.

There were some black clouds looming yesterday and some heavy downpours and sun showers. crazy weather.

I'm hoping it stays away today so we can ride Tank Farm Tuesday, it's been over a month.
