Second round, we decided to head up the road for some cupcakes from The Little Cake Kitchen.
We ended up with their highly recommended Little Lemon Cupcakes.At first glance I feel in love with the look of the cupcake, the rose detailing with the pink frosting just made complete.Almost too good to eat really!
From the first bite I sunk into the cupcake i could smell something not quite right. I kept it silent until Justin and Frank both noticed the same.. For some strange reason, the frosting had a pungent fish smell to it. I'm not too sure how this came about. But the best explaination we could come up with was that someone had touched fish before frosting the wee things. Pehaps the dude was munching on a smoke salmon sammie while icing?
This remains a mystery until i can find enough courage to taste the little lemon cupcakes again. I'm still sacrred from the unexpected fish cakes.
I've tried brioches,little carrot cakes, and pies from The Little Cake Kitchen before and it was delish. Surely it can't be that bad?
