Not what it used to be but it still has a little of that charm. A new generation of scums are moving back in efforts to reverse the gentrification so power to them! Let's see if we can make it that gully place we all remember again!!
Anyone else notice the Fafa's are back with a vengeance lately? It's a new generation and they are balls out! (Excuse the pun!) They are out there day and night and a bit more extroverted than the big ol size 16 stilleto, jaw like schwarzenager types that used to lurk in the shadows back in the day. I dunno which is scarier! I'm just saying 'cos they were yelling at me from across the street when I took this photo.
I love the Vegas girl. To me this building represents the moment I knew I'd moved to the city. I was 5, fresh from Palmy and staring with disbelief at the big painting of a lady with her tits out. It was a pivotal moment I tells ya! It wasn't 'til I was much older I realised she actually has stumps for feet! No shit! But I guess what's a minor detail like feet when you've got your tits on show?
I always remember watching this old dude working in this joint blocking one nostril with his finger and blowing boogers out the other onto the fresh fish! He didn't even care than I was standing there watching!
Back in the day I used to live in St.Kevs.. I lived upstairs in a one bedroom studio with no toilet, no shower, no kitchen, just a sink and an electric frying pan. I had the dopest view of the skytower though... Mean! |
